TrackingFirst

Team: Ben Buie | 5/30/17

I’ve been on this project for almost a year and it is about time I write about it. Up to this point me and my team have mostly been putting out fires and implementing small features. We’re about to move into a new phase where we revamp a lot of the old code. One project Read More >>

Filmfest Media

Team: Ben Buie | 4/20/17

I poured about a year of my life into this project. I had a great time working on it but it has also been one of the most stressful projects I’ve ever been involved in. I also think it is some of the cleanest code I’ve ever written as well. There are too many project Read More >>

IOS App In Ionic (Angular/Typescript)

Team: Ben Buie Lexi | 5/18/16

On the heels of my last IOS app in React Native, I started this project in Ionic. The designs were already done and it was my job to implement them in a cost effective way. At first, the client pushed really hard to build this in Ionic 2 (using Angular 2). At the time, Angular Read More >>

IOS App in React Native

Team: Ben Buie Nathan | 2/23/16

Super fun project and very stressful! I’m usually the developer on all my projects but a new client had a supper quick timeline, “rocket speed” he said. I had a 4 weeks to locate some developers to help, design several views, and implement them in IOS. My first task was to decide on a technology to use. Read More >>

Customer Page – Angular Front-end and Laravel Back-end Api

Team: Ben Buie | 1/28/16

Unfortunately, my best client right now doesn’t let me identify them publicly. Luckily, they allow me to talk in general about the work, so here we go! This project was truly full-stack including UX/UI, high fidelity wireframes, front-end (html, scss, JavaScript, etc.), api architecture, and database architecture. The page addition is part of a super Read More >>

Node.Js App

Ben Buie | 3/10/15

I took a couple hours today and last week to get some Node.js practice. I built a basic app that can take an image upload and display it. The app was surprisingly simple to write. I used two packages: node-formidable for parsing form data and fs for handling the image.

Voltage Internal Business System Architecture & UX/UI Design

Ben Buie | 2/18/15

I can’t talk publicly much about this project out of respect for Voltage, but I wanted to include it in my projects because it was a great opportunity for me to continue honing my skills of UX/UI Design as well as back-end architecture. Steven and I worked together to lay out early wireframes of the Read More >>

Syncing Inventory

Ben Buie | 8/15/14

I almost forgot to write about this project. One of the hardest things to do in eCommerce is keep your product inventory synced with the warehouse, particularly if you have both eCommerce and physical stores. Fjallraven.us wanted to take their ability to the next level, so they asked us to build sync functionality between their Read More >>

Reebok Last & Limited Calendar

Ben Buie | 8/8/14

It’s taken me a while to post this project because I like to wait till they go live; however, it looks like this project was put on the back burner after I pretty much completed it. I had a lot of fun building this app. It had to be totally responsive and the hover state Read More >>

Voltage Payments App

Ben Buie | 1/1/14

It has been slow this January and with some down time Seth asked me to write an app that allows us to take recurring payments from both our clients and for our clients. The app turned out great. The real challenge was syncing data across our database and authorize.net. I had to architect a user Read More >>
